I'm getting ready to start building my GP Patty Wagstaff Extra 300. I have a futaba 9CAP that I will be using. This is my first computer radio.
Basically I have two choices for running each aileron on it's own channel. I can use AIL-DIF or FLAPERON. They both pretty much work the same, except flaperon obviously lets you lower both ailerons for a flap affect. I'm a "keep it simple" kind of guy, so if flaperons aren't much use in this model I'd rather just do without them. It's one less switch to have to worry about, and one less thing to go wrong. But if flaperon's are useful for certain aerobatic maneuvers, I'll go ahead and set them up from the start.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks!

You don't need flaps and you can use either flaperons or ail diff. I had a PW Extra with over 200 flights using a 9C and I used flaperons with the flaps disabled.
