Default How would you fix this?

So, I came in for a landing the other day and hit one very, very hard snow bank at the far end of the runway going a decent speed and ripped out my landing gear on my Hobbico Extra 300 AWARF. Upon inspecting the damage I noted that the former behind the fuel tank was broken on one side. I'm thinking of going one of two ways. Either I take a piece of 1/16 ply and glue it on the former to hold it in place or I glass the thing. What do ya think?[img]

Soak the spilt areas with thin Ca, then epoxy the lite-ply over the surface.

Thanks for the replies. I thought that was the better idea myself after some thought.
