Super Craft Cap 232 .60 Firewall question?

Hi,
I am finishing building the Cap of super craft. I read a lot of posts before and I saw that this airplane is pretty heavy on the tail and that most people tend to put bigger engines instead of placing weights, I decided to do the same and I installed a Thunder Tiger PRO 120 with pump and pitts muffler. I would like to know if it is absolutely necessary to reinforce the firewall, since in the manual the plane accepts up to a .91 engine and the firewall looks pretty well done.
Another thing is that I am going to install a pull-pull system on the ruder, I think that it is better than the stock push rod. Is there any way to upgrade the elevator as well? I was thinking of putting a dual servo on the back of the fuse, one for each elevator half, but this would mean a major modification, and I really don't even have an idea on how to do it, I imagine that I would have to reinforce the tail section where the servos should be placed. Is there any other simpler way to get a better performance of the elevator or is just the normal push-rod more than enough?

I have done the Superkraft Cap 60, but I did their Cap 232 Sport 60, powered with a 91 2-stroke. I recall that I did wrap 2 oz fiberglass across the firewall and back 2" on the fuselage sides. I don't think I'd trust the stock firewall with a 1.20.
On the pull/pull rudder, that's a good way to go. On the elevator, putting two servos in the tail would give you a major weight and balancing problem. I used a Dave Brown fiberglass pushrod with forked wire at the back end, and that worked just fine.
If you haven't done one of these forked pushrods before, the way I get the wire out the exits is to run outer nyrod through the exits from the back and up into the radio compartment. I then stick the wire into the nyrod, push everything straight back, and presto, the wire slides right out the exits sheathed in the nyrod.

Ok, i will stick with the original elevator pushrod. As for the firewall reinforcement I was thinking of drilling holes on the fire wall sides and epoxy sticks in the holes, I really don't recall how the tecnic is called but I did it also in my extra 300S to install a grasser engine. Will this work better than just a sheet of fiberglass or will the fiberglass be better? I say that because putting a fiberglass sheet on the front of the firewall would mean to do again al the holes of the engine mount and the fuel tank exit.

I have the Kangke Superkraft Cap 232 sport plane, not the fun fly version. I installed a Saito 100 in mine with dual elevator servo's, pull/pull rudder, and it flies great. I also ordered landing gear from TNT for mine, the stock gear is really cheesy. I pinned my firewall, and installed dubro fuel tank, and sullivan tailwheel. I did have to add a small amount of nose weight to balance it, maybe 3 ozs.

Sound nice, well tell me a thing was it very diffucult to install the dual elevator servos? Could you show me some pictures of the tail so I can see where to put them, could you give me some advice? I hope not to ask too much but I think this is a great plane and I would like to have it at it's max performance. BTW did the dual servo on the elevator get things better or not?
Last thing... Do you have a link on the landing gear you ordered just to understand what you got?

I installed the dual elevator servo's in the wing saddle area, and used CF pushrods back to each surface, the servo's are installed in the standard location with a slight modification to the servo tray, the elevator servos are on each side with the rudder servo in the center. I like the idea of dual elevator servos, and just used std futaba 3004's servos on each side with the rudder I used hitec 625BB servo.
The landing gear from TNT might not be shown on their website, they have a page on their site where they can make custom gear if they dont show it on their list of planes. I just measured the critical dimensions, and faxed/emailed to them, and they did a great job with quick turnaround. Here is a link to their site:

Thanks for the info, well in that case of the servos than I will stick to the one servo config. I was willing to consider the dual servo if the servos were monuted on the rear of the plane like on bigger scale models, so you have the short hinge advantage and all. For what concerns the landing gear, i will try the original one and see how it works out, if it bends too much than I will see what to do.

I had one and it was the most difficult plane to fly I ever tested. It crashed at the 3rd flight and that was the end of it. I wouldn't buy one ever again but it can be that my cap was that way and it wasn't a general thing.
