Has anybody bought this combo, or the airplane and engine seperately? I think I am going to order it, but would like some feedback first from somebody that had tried either, or both.

I would also like to hear from anyone who has tried or knows about the Magnum XLS.52. I was thinking about purchasing this combo also. It seems like a good value.

I haven't tried the Magic Extra, but the Magnum xls 52 is an excellent engine. Seems to have plenty of power for my Sig SE. Transition is to full throttle is excellent.

I did buy the Magic Extra. I am running an old Magnum 46 in it. It's a great flyer. Lands at walking speed. The 52 would be the engine for it. It has limited verticle with the 46. It will do a verticle climb but a slow one. Construction was easy. The only problems were 1. the alignment of the wing hold down inserts, wing holes and wing faring holes and 2. a warped motor mount (replaced with a sig unit).
Love it.
Love it.
