Has anyone have any experience, pro's, con's with Great Planes Tiger Moth 71" ARF?
I'm interested in this plane and looking for opinions, good or bad. Thanks in advance! Bill

Hi Bill......I had the smaller one and it flew great with a Surpass 48 ! I read an artical where one guy flew the big one with a G-23 and loved it.....Anyways my real reason for responding is, If you do decide to buy it Chief's hobbies is selling it for 269 dollars SHIPPED !!!!!!!
Good luck

I've flown both the GP Moth and the Pacific AeroModel 78" Moth arf.
Both are great but for some reason the pacific aero flew a bit more realistic and looked more scale (maybe the slight size difference????)
This is where i got my moth :

Hope this helpps,

Hey Bigbri how well did the G23 fit in the cowl. Did he have to cut it a lot. I have the GP Tiger Moth and would like to go gas but figured the G23 would not fit. I also thought about the RCS 140. Wteagle103 I didn't build mine I traded for it but it sure is a nice plane. It looks to be a well built ARF and a real sharp looking plane.

I've helped a friend setup and test fly his OS 120 Surpass powered GP Tiger Moth and rate it very highly. Nice, easy flying bird that looks very realistic in the air and lands at a crawl.
If your a fan of period bipes and want a relaxed Sunday type flyer, you can't go wrong w/ the Moth. The reason my friend went w/ the 120, is that his plane required a ton of nose weight with a Saito 91, so he just put the extra weight to good use in the form of a bigger/heavier engine. After 30+ flights the airframe is still in good shape and seems to handle the extra power w/ ease.

With GP making their ARF Cub with the fabric covering; why didn't
they help the scale looks of the Tiger Moth by using the fabric on
this one too ? I've got a new 23 I was thinking for this plane, but
the glossy film is slowing my decision.

A buddy has one with a YS 91 in it. GREAT! The only complaint he has had was the flying wires are a pain in the butt. He just leaves his assembled and doesn't have to mess with them. It's a fine flying airplane.
