Looking for a FAST ARF

You guys speaking of the Kaos, if its the one that I'm thinking of its not the orignal its a copy made by Tower Hobbies and I've heard it doesn't have the same quality as the orignal.

They did change the design of the regular Kaos kit from Bridi to Great Planes to Tower, but just a little and they fly pretty much the same. I haven't assembled one of the ARFs but I have flown one and it seems to be about the same too. There are many different versions, the .60, the Killer Kaos, etc. that are very different and fly different, but the basic .40 has been basically the same for 30+ years, yes I know the stab moved and the fuse is laid up different but it still is basically the same. The one we're talking about here is the ARF anyway... Good plane at a good price...

Evan,
The Lancair is toast, ..I don't want to go through the trouble of repair. I tossed it into the trash once I got my gear out of it. I'll just buy another one sometime down the line. I felt that it would just upset me more if I got the plane repaired and things did not end up right with it as far as flight characteristics and weight were concerned.

Try a Kangke F3D-30. The 46FX will be tight but can be done. The combo will defineatly be fast.

I have the F3D from Kangke, with a ST 45 up front...and it does haul the mail!
Another plane that would get a nod would be the Kaos ARF from Tower. Of course, I'd stick a 61 in it, and convert it to a tail dragger. This plane would most definately handle high speed.
Man, it's too bad they don't make a "30" size Kaos...that would be the ticket!
Have you heard of the Zen 30, from World Models? That would be a great option for ya!

Go out and get yourself a WM Midget Mustang and put the OS61 in the nose, ITs very fast, at full elev and air. at full power it will snap so hard its hard to understand how the sings stay on it. Caution, don't ust the landing gear in the wings, add a hard wood block behind the firewall and install a fiberglass gear to the body. Now go set the sky on fire.

The Hanger 9 Arresti will do all the stunts, plus haul the mail. I have an
OS .60 FSR in mine....and it is right at the max for speed. You must
brace the tail feathers, and I removed about 1/3 of the elevator. The
stab is built-up, and will flutter at about a buck twenty....but with the
simple brace....
....it's "hang on Kattie, we're goin' downtown !"

My World Model's Dago Red will leave my Shoestring in the dust, along with my friends H9 51 with a OS61 and the Lancair with a Saito 91. The Dago flys great with a OS46fx but thats the smallest engine you would want to put in it.
