I was thinking of getting one of these and putting the new Satio 82 on it. I was wondering how many servos this plane requires? Does it take two or four servos. Since it is just a little 40 size plane I am guessing two servos for the four ailerons. Any info would be apprecaited.

Bike, I have the Dave Patrick ARC version of this model. Mine is powered with a Saito .72 and flies just fine with it. I have it equipped with HS 81's and there are 4 for the surfaces, one for the throttle. The rudder and elevator is pull-pull, upper and lower ailerons are tied together. I have had to re-enforce the fire wall as it was pulling loose at the glue joints so be careful about overpowering it. Mine is light, 5' 4" if I remember right.

I am currently building the purple version. My first experience with using pull/pull connections. So far the kit is great. The only thing missing that I found is the CG location. The manual just says you need to do this, but does not give a location at all. I am hoping to get it airborn this week.

I had one out of the first batch DP sold a while back. Mine used a micro servo on throttle and 4 Hitec MG Mini servos for the flight control surfaces(1 Rud, 1 Elev, 2 Ail) all with a 4.8V 800 mAh battery. Power was a YS63 turning an APC 13x6 prop. The plane weighed 5.5 lbs and flew GREAT! Unlimited vertical and super slow floating landings. As the size of my planes got bigger, I eventually sold the plane for the bigger Ultimate (and have since moved up to the 30% CG Ultimate). I had no problems with the plane and other than having to reinforce the top of the firewall (as mentioned in another post), everything worked trouble-free. If I remember correctly, I had to add a bit of tail weight to bring the CG back to the optimal point with the YS63. The best part about the plane was being able to load it into the back of our SUV in one piece and still have room for my CG Sukhoi!
