Bangkok, Thailand. My field is 20 miles away and you Guys are welcome to come fly with us - bring your own model or fly ours - no insurance needed. Now it's 100 out there with humidity the same - a better time to come is between November and March with December / January the best.
In Las Vegas, I've flown at NLV Field on Horse off Jones and the Eldorado DLB - been to TOC at Bennett Field - and vidited all the model shops. Denny's Nice Twice is the best. BTW, where IS that 3rd field you mentioned.

BKK has changed a bit since then as you would expect.
Yes, I know Jean DLB but never did find it and I used to know two brothers from the Pacific Aeromodelers Field in Half Moon Bay, San Francisco Bay area, who "retired" to Pahrump about 5 - 6 years ago. MalcolmL

Well maybe if they read these post they will come on line with you. I myself prefer to fly off of paved runways. I am getting old and takes to long to get the dirt off the planes after you fly on dlb, so pave is better but the landings can be hard on planes.lol I have a few planes shown in the gallery if you care to look

Ya, Lots of places to fly here, in and around Las Vegas....
But with this summer heat, I'd rather be flying with you guys up in NC....
11:30 at night and the temperature just now dropping to 100*
cant let the planes sit on the asphalt too long or they begin to melt... Ever seen an egg fry on a rock? Trust me, it really works
On the bright side!! When you northern guy's are snow'd in in the winter time, we get to fly all day
Hiya Pat...

Seems that everyone in NC is close to something recognizable, but we dont want to get too close. I live close to but not actually within the city of Hickory.

Gentlemen..
May I remind you that FAA regs prohibit elements of life within
the structures of a model aircraft while in flight..
Now,, with that outta the way.. The hell with regs.. How about we stuff a little jockey and a Poodle dog in there to keep him company... See which one yaps the most....

Well I am in Everett WA which is about 20 miles North of Seattle. We are home to Boeing and the 747 and 777 (I think that's the other one) Lived in the upper Mojave desert near Edwards AFB for many years and you can have that desert heat and flying off the lake beds. It would take a good 20 minutes to get my squad car cooled off enough inside to make it liveable at 8 AM, and yes I have seen an egg fried on the sidewalk, and the asphalt melting and getting sticky. You don't know how many times I let people go because I didn't want to get out of my unit!!!!!!
Yes we get rain up here but it's not as bad as people think it is, we just tell them that so they won't move here!!!!

The sun is hot, the drinks are iced and the women fall somewhere in between
Here's a map. My house is in the center of the square.

This is my neighbor's place. Puts my house to shame it does.

The climate is great.
The flying field (singular!) sucks. Weird obstructions, tricky wind currents, plus we share the field with a herd of drunken Cricket players.
Sometimes I miss Utah. But only a little bit
