My Feedback: (1)
Had the pleasure of flying the new 150 size Hanger 9 Mustang at the AMA homecomming at Muncie, Ind last weekend. Peter Goldsmith from Horizon had all the new planes there for pilots to try. Being a Mustang fanatic, I asked Peter for a chance at the sticks. He said yes. I flew the plane about ten minutes. I want to tell you that this thing flew like it was on rails. The plane was very stable in level flight. It was powered with one of their Saito 120 four strokes. The plane had almost unlimited vertical. The rolls and loops, half cuban eights ,etc, where done efortlessly. Point rolls were also done well. I believe this bird could be very competitive in funscale classes. It lands and takes off very well. The finish looks very well done. The retracts operate very well and can take a hard lick. The plane was radar gunned at 104 MPH at full tilt. So if you don't have time to build and want a great flying Mustang, I would highly recomend this Mustang for your hanger. The only negative was that it was just under the IMAA wingspan limit of 80 inches. My suggestion was to make all the next generation warbirds of this size be at least 80 inches.
