Default Cap 232 X

OK Someone said the Cap 232 X needed a lot of lead in the nose to balance it using an OS 1.60 FX. Chip are you out there? Any one know this to be a fact? Is the Moki 1.8 that much heavier than the OS 1.60? I am about to put this ARF together and I really need to know if I should change engines.

I have a Saito 180 on the front and had to add 13 ounces to get it to balance at the midrange of the CG....Oh well..

I wish folks would either design these planes with our most popular engines in mind or supply us with helpful information regarding ballast before we buy. I am sure that even with the added weight this plane is a winner. I am going to ask Chip a direct question regarding this matter if I am able to contact him.

Well, I have not flown it yet, have only been breaking in the engine. The little bit that I did run up the Saito 180 on this plane was amazing. I can tell I should have no problem pulling major vertical...

Skip check out these pictures I believe it has the O.S. 1.60 on it.
Also check out the cap-x building and flying thread page 4 at the very top
is a post were the guy had to add 13oz. of lead.He also states he was very
disappointed with it until he flew it. So please dont think I am knocking the cap-x
O.S. combo. If it were mine I would use the O.S. if I already had the engine.
I just happened to have the moki 1.80 left over from another aircraft and used it
and to my suprise it balanced fine. Both are good engines and will get the job done on this plane.
I am not sure what your fuel cost ,but I get my 5% fuel for $10.00 dollars a gallon.
