Default Whats a good second Glow plane ARF?

Well Ive flown over 2 1/2 gallons in my Hanger 9 Alpha and its starting to show alot of stress. So i started looking for an ARF plane to replace it. Whats a good one that comes with the control surface already hinged? I dont mind putting in the radio and servo and engine , but I seem to screw up on the hinging. Ive built 4 GWS foamies also. I was looking and the Hanger 9 Taylor craft but they seemed to stop making it now. Anyone got any ideas?

I really like the Sky Raider Mach II from The World Models. The US distributor is [link=http://Airborne Models]www. airborne-models.com[/link].

Low wing, symetrical and excellent quality kit. Took me a few hours to put together, but someone more adept could knock it out in less.

There are too many good ones to mention them all. Most ARF kits have the hinges already installed, although some CA glue on them will be needed in most cases. The World Model Sky Raider Mach II is probably as good a second plane as any. I would say you should be looking for something with a semi or fully semetrical airfoil. This is going to allow more advanced flying. Aerobatics will be easier. You would also need to look at something that has similar wing loading to your trainer. You could do a search for "second plane" and see what others have to say about it. You will get a lot of the same answers, which is good. If a number of people recommend the same plane, then it probably is a good un.

My vote is for the Sig Four Star 60. Big wingspan so it's easily seen in the air (71') very aerobatic and lands like a trainer.

I'm sure there are some who will disagree with this, but I say a UCANDO3D 60 would be a great second plane. Just make sure that you have the rates set very low. The plane is nearly as forgiving as a trainer and will let you explore advanced aerobatics when the rates are cranked up.

Some good ones are:

Sig Four Star 40 or 60
Goldberg Tiger 2
Goldberg Tiger 60
Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 40 or 60 (or any other manufacturers stick)

There are so many...too many to list them all. Look for something with a constant chord wing, semi-symmetrical or full symmetrical airfoil, a little bit of dihedral, and a light wing loading. Good luck!

I also agree with either the four star 40 or 60. Capable flyers for moving on to basic aerobatics yet still very easy to land.

Ditto on the World Mach 1. I instruct and have one in my "hangar" with a OS 46 FX for a backup and for keeping sharp with cross control landings. Fastest building ARF I've ever "built", there only 4 things to glue, the wings, the little ply plate under the aileron servo, the stick behind the fuel tank and the ply tail skid.
There is already a hole in the side of the "cowl" for a remote needle to stick through, the other side of the cowl is notched for the muffler to clear, not covered with shelf paper and is only $69.95
