Default Hanger Nine Edge 540 with OS 160

Ran accross one that had had a disagreement with the ground and am having to do some patch work.....does anyone know if you can use Balsarite (for fabric... that's all I have), on Ultracoat. Also where would the CG be on this plane as I have no info on it. Thanks, Dave.

Begin with 4.5 inches back from the leading edge. The fartest back you can go is 5.5 Inches I think

I also have a 1.60 in mine with a lot of power. 18x8 prop will hover with lots of pull out power. Good engine for this plane except its a gas hog!

what kind of 18=8 are you running? I am thinking about a Mejlik, the 18-6 Mejlik I hear turns too many rpms..the 18=6W apc is ok but not great vert..I am at 13.5 lbs dry..needs a carbon fiber diet !!!

OH AND YEAH EXPENSIVE GAS HOG

Keep it under 12lbs and run a 18x6 carbon prop and it will hover

I was at a funfly today and saw two of these planes fly. Both planes had OS 160's in them and they both were tearing up the sky. It looked to me like they had great vertical. I am thinking of getting one of these for a Moki 1.80 that I have laying around. Looks like a solid flying plane.
