Default Info on the Phoenix Comet,

Ive herd a lot of good things about this plane bu i have yet to see a pic or even get much info on it. Im looking for a .40 zised pattern plane.

Phoenix's Comet has long since been superceded. Was replaced by Sea Bee then Atlantis, which has itself recently been replaced by a Venus lookalike named Laser. The Comet wasn't a bad ship, but was definitely sport 'pattern'. It slips along quite nicely, though was let down by a narrow track undercarriage and small rudder leading to poor ground handling qualities. Mine is currenly awaiting repair after a dead stick leading to a ground looping incident and broken horizontal stab. See the pic below for what a Comet looks like.

If you want a good inexpensive ship for a 40 get either a GP Venus or GSP.com Magpie which looks very much like the Comet but is a better flier.
