I was looking at the pacific aeromodeler's edge (27%). Does anyone have this plane? I want good 3d capabilities.

If you can find an 80" H9 Cap that's an excellent plane the only con. is the one piece wing love mine with ZDZ 60.

A friend of mine has the Pacific 27% Edge and a Hanger 9 Mustang 150 with the Saito 200 twin in it. He took the Mustang to a local sport-scale contest thinking it would do well. He brought along the Edge too, just to have something fun to fly.
No body paid much attention to the Mustang, it finished well out of the money, but he won the civilian category with the Edge.
Another friend has been flying a GP Patty Wagstaff Extra and loving it. He got a Pacific 27% Edge and now he doesn't fly the PW anymore.
Actually, the Dave Patrick Edge has a shorter fuselage and is probably better at 100% pure 3D, but the Pacific would be my choice for IMAC style pattern and freestyle.

I've seen the Pac Aero Edge and it is a beautiful plane. The quality of Pac Aero ARF's is outstanding. They build terrific planes. I have a Wild Hare 28% Extra (the build is representative of the Edge) and can say it is an outstanding plane also. It's just beautiful to look at. I don't think you can go wrong with either plane. The Wild Hare will be slightly larger and will handle a 50cc-60cc engine with no problems. I don't know first hand, but according to the specs. the Pac Aero Edge will come in about 3-lbs lighter than the Wild Hare but that's with a 40cc (Brison 2.4) engine. The Pac Aero Edge also has less wing area. Maybe someone with the Pac Aero Edge will chime in and give their opinion. Anyway, good luck with your decision!

I'd put in my $.02 for the DAVE PATRCK EDGE over the others. It's lighter, can be configured a bunch of different ways and flies fantastic.
