Default U-CAN-DO 3D 40 CG Help

I have this whole plane together and I'm hoping to go out flying tomorrow. After checking the CG, I have seen that the CG is 6 1/2!QUOT! back from the leading edge. I am using an OS 46 engine and have the battery located furthest forward as possible. After I add 3oz of weight to the nose on the bottom of the firewall I am 5 1/2 !QUOT! from the LE. Am I doing something wrong or am I gonna have to have tons on weights on the front of this plane? I need to get to 4 3/4!QUOT!.

What else can I try. Please help.

The 4 3/4" setting is VERY conservative. There was an addendum to the instructions in my kit saying you can go back to 6" without much problem. Mine's at 6" and could still go back a little more. I'd suggest you fly it at 5 1/2" and see how you like it. You can always mount the rudder servo in the wing area and use pull pull, if necessary. I originally did that with mine, but ended up moving the rudder servo back to the rear after flying it for a while.
