I'm looking for an aerobatic 40 size plane that is small and I can just throw in the back of a car and go with. I have an ST-40 and all the radio gear just looking for a plane... I was thinking of the Model Tech Extra 300L. Anybody fly one of these with a 40?? Any other suggestion?? Thanks

Arf or kit?
A ST-40 is a nice engine, but you'll need to keep the airframe light as possible.
Perhaps the Hanger Twist or Sigs Something Extra.
Sticks are pretty light and sturdy as well.

ARF would be my first choice but it doesnt' really matter..... the twist would be good but i dont' think the 40 would cut it, alot of people are useing 46's aren't they?? That would be a good one though..What do you think for a stick??

Your biggest challenge will be the wieght issue. The Twists claims to be a bit heavier than SE. Twist 5-6 lb and SE 4.25 - 5.
You may look at some profiles. I only had one. It was a Sig Fazer. It was light and flew like a rocket. It weigh 4 lbs. Maybe someone else can jump in on some other profiles.
Something in the 4 lbs area would be the best. Perhaps a heckler or dazzler.
Also consider building a SPAD. I use my 40s with them. Good flyers and priced right.
