I have read through most of the threads on the SE but have not seen any issues at this point with the wing tube. I just starting my SE ARF and the wing tube was very difficult to insert into the fuse.
On top of that the wings are very very tight, they do not slide on but have to be worked up and down to get them to go onto the tube.
Once I get to the dowel I cant get them to go any further because I cant move the wing panel up and down anymore, I have sanded the tube a little already but it looks like it is going to need a lot more to just slide on.
I am wondering if maybe the wrong tube got put in by accident.
anyone else have this problem before?
Thanks,
Dbow

Not to the extent you did but somewhat. Mine was tight and once assembled was even harder to get apart. All the restriction on mine was in the first 1" of the wing. I cleaned that area up with a sanding drum in a Dremmel tool. Problem solved. My wings were also canted a few degrees. This also fixed that problem.

I ended up doing the same thing, I used the dremel and had to take quite a bit off the outer diameter of the hole on each wing, tubes slide on fine now.
Thanks

On mine, I used some steel wool on the aluminum tube and cut a little of the end of it since it was too long. It now slides on and off wihout any problem.

I have a kit and the tube was to long.
I had to sand a little length off of it.
It also was a little tight but that has fixed itself by just normal use.
I did sand the tube a little just to make sure no burrs were on it and just to smooth it out some.
