I'm rebuilding a sig extra 300xs. It's about 74" wingspan, pretty lightweight. I wanted to know if anyone out there is flying this bird with a zenoah g-26. I thought I read somewhere that someone was very pleased with the performance with this setup.

I had one with an FPE 2.4 and it was awsome, I wanted to do the zenoa, but the weight factor kept me away from it.

Does the zenoah have anywhere near the power of the fpe 2.4? I don't want to spend a lot.

You may want to try a zdz 40 with it.. I have a sig with a os 1.60 fx and it flies great with it...Kurt

I'd like a motor that'll also work for a wild hare 28% extra. I'm thinking something like a zdz 60. To heavy?

Split the diff and get the ZDZ 50. I have the ZDZ 40 on the Sig Extra and it is a good performer. A 60 would tear it apart. Buddy of mine has the 60 on a Carden 30% Extra and it is plenty of power for that plane. Besides, Wild Hare recommends the 50 on their 28% planes.
