Default Edge vs. Extra 300

Question,

Which plane is easier to fly, Which is more stable, Which is more squirelly, Which is easier to land?

I'm building a GP 300S and was just looking at an Edge at the field and was wondering.

Any opinions?

Depends on what brand and size Edge and what brand and size Extra. And what the control setup and CG is.

All things being equal, a good flying Edge is easier to fly and land and less squirrelly than a good flying Extra. (Edges and Extras are usually not squirrelly though. That description fits CAPs and Giles better.)

Put your Extra together right, KEEP IT LIGHT, and follow the instructions on setup and it will fly fine.

It depends also on the type of flying you want to do! The Edge's wing stalls easier making it a better 3D performer but like jrf states...it all depends on the manufacturer. The newer Extra's are being designed for 3D. So they are pretty even.

The Extra will fly where you point it. Build it straight and your GP Extra will be a great flying plane.

I always thought that the Edge's would not stall the wing. Where an extra will stall the wing and snap properly. The Edge in my opinion is the better 3D airplane because the stall speed is so slow and the high alpha stuff is easier with an edge.

But just all honeslty it really comes done to a matter of opinion, both planes are awsome. I own one of each in a 50cc size and couldnt make up my wich one is better both are great airplanes
