Well the fedex guy delivered a big, brown unmarked box today and inside I found another unmarked box, no frills on graphics. Upon a brief inspection of the kit I found a beautiful fibercowl and wheel pants. BUT.... I was extremely disappointed to find they had covered the ship in a very thin and cheesy red covering of unknown origin. All wood is visible beneath the transparent covering. I may be a bit picky , but when you spend $500.00 for an arf the least they could do is use a reputable covering materiel. Even the red covering (monokote) on my DR-1 from great planes, which was half the price, is very opaque. Very disappointing. I am considering returning the plane only to be out shipping two ways.

Further inspection reveals, no instruction manual. I guess you're supposed to guess where the CG is and what the assembly sequence is. Also, the advertised one piece bolt on wing actually comes in four parts, two top two bottoms. Vinyl graphics are included.

Well... I was just going to the BME to order one and thought I'd check in here first and I'm glad I did. I feel bad that you had to be the one but you helped me make my decision against buying this plane. I hope it works out for you if you send it back. I agree that for $500 you should be estatic about the quality and looks.

I understand that there was a mistake made by the manufacturer... they ordered in the wrong covering and it was indeed thin and slightly transparent...
However this has been corrected and new shipments will have MUCH better covering... a few of the existing ones are left and being offered at a discount.
Just an FYI...

Funny you mentioned that... I was informed that the manual was done and was on it's way to me for converting to PDF...
I'll post a note here when It's up...

The manual.... download it from their site.... much quicker than waiting for it by snail.
Mine came in last week and I started on Sunday--today. After seeing Shawn at Reno again this year I knew I was going to order this one.
