Default Super Stearman Blues

I've been flying my Kyosho Super Stearman with a Saito 72 on it for about 2 years now, and last nite I thought it would be a good idea to start thinkin about a replacement, just in case I should ever damage it, but Tower Hobbies doesn't seem to have it available anymore. Can this be true ? Did Kyosho discontinue my favorite plane ? I suppose I could go for the little red Pitts if I have to, but I kinda got attached to my little buddie. I better be careful..... you can always upgrade to the GP Super Stearman. Flys great with an inexpensive G26.

Im stickin with the small planes for now. Much easier to deal with and throw around, not to mention transport, get thru the door, and their alot cheaper in general. Maybe someday though, I do have a flatbed.... Dennis Flora

So is it still available? I just checked the website, and saw the PT17 version only. And it's labeled as discontinued. [] Darn, I almost bought one last spring, but put it off until this fall. But it does appear as if you can still get replacement wings, fuses, etc. for both versions.

No, it's not available any more. Hasn't been, for some time now. I think that even the Military version is now discontinued. The Super Stearman was listed on the web site for a LONG time after they were discontinued. I've had to do some serious rebuilding on mine when I would have preferred to buy another one. Bummer!

Don't feel so bad, they discontinued the P-40 Warhawk too,I sent Kyosho an email asking if they were coming out with a 60 size P-40
but havent heard a word.
The Kyosho P-40 looked so good,it had the right color scheme and cowl was right shape...the other ones out today are all wrong![&o]

Yep !!! Your right..... what I saw was some big sucker by Great Planes. Don't want that.......
I like little biplanes you can pick up like a sixpack. That's ok, if I ever crash the Super Stearman, I'll just switch to the little Pitts. Oh... I forgot, I don't crash anymore. Dennis

Which Pitts would that be, the one they discontinued?
