The book says the balance point is 4.75 inches from the leading edge. Is that at the fuse or outside the tapered area in the leading edge? I have a YS91 on this bird and it seems very nose heavy. Has anyone needed to add weight in the tail? The battery pack is in the rear of the compartment. Thanks for the help. John

You want it right next to the fuse, and my is set at 450 off the point that the wing mounts and I have had no problem. I believe that they give you a short range to set the CG in and that what I did. I had to mount the battery behind the servos to get the CG right.

Thanks guys. I have now balanced at 4.75 at the fuse. I moved the battery as far back as I could and had to add 1 oz. to the tail. John

Jerry - The airplane flys great. It is easy to land and does not appear to have any bad characteristics. I have a YS 91 on mine and it is very fast. The only problem is the gear is not the best I have seen. John

Default Gear Struts

I tried to remove the struts....they seem to be molded into the gear - yep, they are a bit springy aren't they?

They will eventually bend forward. I guess this is due to the wheels forward angle. Mine hung in the tray on one flight and wouldn't bring one of them down for landing. I did several high speed snap rolls and it finally let loose bringing the tray with it. I was just about to belly land it as I had been up for an extended amount of time.

They will bend back OK but I'm sure they will get worse over time.

Sorry Tailskid but at the pivot point on the strut you will find a hole in the side and a set screw on one side or other. Pretty cheap huh.. They could be tight, One of mine was and the other was just in the hole and both set screws were just tight enough to hold the wire into the notch
