Well, it finally happened. After a great day of flying low, slow passes, I had a boo boo [&o]. I was doing a very slow flyby, flaps down @ about 10' and halfway down the runway my engine dropped off to low idle (very rough sounding too). I barely had enough speed to get it up and turned back around, but then I made a mistake. Instead of just landing with the wind I tried to fly the pattern (in very close). On my turn to final, she snapped in from about 4'. Yeah, I went over all the "should've, could'ves" on the drive home
Damage wasn't too bad. The tail broke pretty clean, and has already been fixed. No problem. The question I have is in the wing. It snapped cleanly at the bend in the wing. Since it is sheeted, I can't really just strip it and get to the spar? How do I get the spar fixed? Thanks in advance!

Drill it out or a hot putty knife will work. Heat it and slide it in on the sides of the brace. For the top and bottom get a hack saw blade and grind the teeth off and it makes a good narrow putty knife. Slow process with minimal damage compared to drilling. Good luck, Joe
