Default Twist question

hi,

I was wondering for the hanger 9 twist. I have a Jr quattro Tx, could i use this Tx for the twist with my Jr 527 servos? Or would i need a computer radio with dual raes and stuff like that?

Thanks in advance

I think at first you would be fine. If you take it to the extreme later on you will be wishing for EXPO more than the dual rates. The AILE will get very sensitve with full deflection.

The next time you get about $225.00 mad money, I'd suggest getting a pooter Tx. As David said, your's will be fine to start with, but the elevator and ailerons are sensitive without expo. Since I've been flying mine for the last three weeks, I don't know why I left it boxed for over 2 months.

No, the plane will simply fly smoother with expo. Not being familiar with the Quattro, if you can do any mixing at all , but the dual rates aren't required if you set mild at first then adjust later on as you want. This plane is now one of my favorites.

I'm putting a Twist together wright now and wondering how much expo would be a good place to start. I'm new to 3d and expo, any advice on servo's for this bird?

I used the Quattro radio with 537 servos and the R610M rcvr. No problems at all...

Depending on your skill level, you may want to tone it down quite a bit (that is reduce control throw as much as possible).

Hans,
I use 60% expo on all my planes. But !!!! This makes me look like a beginner when I trim out a plane for someone else that doesn't have expo settings.

Im using 40% expo on ailerons and elev. That smooths it out quite a bit.

Here's how I setup my radio for the Twist. Hey RVator, put me some expo on this thing! I've got it and don't have a clue how to do it myself. But the plane is great. I have a friend who just got one together and has a 40 on it. I don't know how he did it but he had is radio programed to snaproll it. He was flying at full speed when he hit the switch and the plane broke in half behind the canopy. It hit and broke the front off too. The picture is on the window at work. I think there's ;more to the story he isn't tellin'.
