Greetings.
Which Rambler? If it's the 45, I can verify it is one of the better models on the market. I sold one last year and sorry I did so. Another will come soon.
Here's a photo.

Regards,
DGO

Do a search on it and you will see what has been said about the plane. It rates 8/10 for a Sunday morning flier. Really good fun ...

I have flown two. and helped with others that have flown them. It is a great way to get into a taildragger. flies very well. cheap. the one draw back is the crap wheels. Get one and have no fears.

I never used the retracts, they seem really solid so could the problem lie in the push rods and not the retract themselves? Soft pushrods=non locking retracts=frustration?

I have found that the retracts work very well...once they are set up properly. But the wire is just too soft. Still, I think the retracts are worth the effort. It really flies well and looks clean with them tucked up. Jeff

Assemble the plane per book and use the retracts, I have loged over 100 flights on it and no problems with retracts but I also fly of a paved runway.

good luck
