Looking for an engine recomendation for a World Modles Super Stunts 60. Both 2 and 4 stroke.

Its large wing lift area would allow it to fly on the recommended 60 2s range, but with weight of 8 lb and the name Super Stunt I would lean towards a 91 2c or a 91 4s, I am looking at the Super Stunt and the H9 ultra 60 and I am still leaning towards the H9 because I am worried the SS 80 inch wing span might be a little slow on the roll rate. Most are flying the H9 at 7 to 7 1/2lb weight with 91 to 100 4s.

You are right about the roll rate not being spectacular. I modified my SS60 with 3" flaps and ailerons, which I have programmed with my Futaba 9C to do CROW ans such. Even with full span aileron, I'd say it did propbably 480deg/sec. If you want a hogdogging type Stick, the SS60 is the plane. The SS60 is actually equivalent in size to the H9 Ultra Stick 120, yet you can build it to be around 8lbs with a lightweight 4stroke .91. With that light a wing loading, it will do slow speed stunts no Ultra Stick can do. I think H9 canned the original US120 and reintroduced the "Lite" version mostly because, compared to the SS60, the old US120 was a bit porky.

One thing you need to be careful though: the SS60 is built very light. So if you plan on overpowering it, be prepared to do some reinforcement.

I powered mine with a 1.20 4stroke, but I also ended up modifying it to be almost like the WM Fun Wolrd 3D. If I were to do another SS60, I would stick with a lightweight .91-1.00 2-stroke or 4stroke to stay light for fun-fly aerobatics and slow speed quad-flap flying. If the Saito 1.00 is too much money for you, the new Evolution 1.00 2stroke looks like a good match for this airplane also.

GMS .76 ringed. Had one of these on mine and power was NOT lacking. Great running engine too.
