Default Small p-51 ??

Anyone know of who might sell a small size mustang or equivalent type plane arf or rtf??? Preferably under a .40 size, just something to mess around with, and not electric. Seems all the companies are selling .60's and up.

World Models has a nice P-51 . It is a .40 size plane but many of "us" throw in engines like a Saito 100 and G90. You need to see it to believe it. They are very nice sportscale planes.

OK Models (I'm not sure what they call it in your neck of the woods) has a 32 size P-51 that is much more scale than the TT Lazy Tiger.

I have a Lazy Tiger... hasn't flown yet because the kit came together with the ailerons badly aligned. I will need to redo that before I am in the air. I was quite surprised with the lapse in quality as most people have found their Lazy Tiger to be up to standards. I think mine is a fluke!

Good luck finding one!

Is that an ARF or a kit?

It's an ARF and really not bad for that size!

If you want EP, the GWS P-51 isnt a bad choice (only need a few hours to build and fly, motor incl.)

Model Tech made a 25-30 2 stroke size P-51 ARC a couple of years back. I had one, rate it an 8 (little too small a tail moment). Bought another off e**y a month ago, see them there occasionally for around $75.

i would go with the WM p-51, they perform well with a 46 up front.

If you're considering a .40 size mustang, I would recommend the WM version. It isn't as scale as the Kyosho (if you can still find it) as the Kyosho has printed panel lines and rivets, but it is of excellent quality and value. The kit includes retracts and is one of the fastest assembling mustang kits I know. A nice 70 ultimate would make any of the WM P-51's (including the Dago Red) a great flying warbird.
