Can any one give me any insite on this plane, does it like speed or is it a gentle flyer...ive never flow a bipe before what can i expect..I installed a 52 4stroke with a 12x6 prop its so small it looks like its going to be a hand full. it wasnt my choice of planes.... a Friend of mine bought it and gave up on building it so i finished it . should i bring a big trash bag to the Field or simply hang it from my ceiling for a conversation piece. thx Bill

It's not a gentle flyer. It is a good model, very aerobatic and quick. I had one (sold it after a season) first powered with an OS 46FX, way too much power, ends up flying between 1/4 and 1/2 throttle except for verticle, not a happy combination for me and my eyes. I then put in an OS 32 and that is about perfect, good power, flies all the maneuvers, and I got to use the whole throttle range in flight. I flew it on 11.5X4 APC prop which helped tame the speed. You will notice it has a fairly thin airfoil which translates into "flies fast".
The wire landing gear is soft wire and you may want to replace it with after market aluminum gear. When you set up the ailerons, be sure to position the upper aileron pushrods close to the position of the tortion rods in the lower wing. This will give the best response. And it doesn't need a lot of aileron deflection with 4 ailerons on this little airplane.
It flies a little differently than a comparable monoplane mainly because of the extra drag a biplane has with two wings, struts and all that stuff, it's not a floater. You will really enjoy this plane when you get it set up for your own flying style.

I've logged 270 flights on mine over the last 3 years or so. I leave it assembled, throw it in the SUV and pull it out & fly it, usually during cold weather. During warm weather I'll fly bigger planes that require some assembly.
If your is the old version, there's a wire that sticks through the top wing to fasten it to the upright support, and the support is just ply. Mine pulled out, and I epoxied in some aluminum tube, works great. The first time, I got the top wing incidence positive - big mistake! Wants to leap off the ground and snap! With the top wing on negative 1 degree or so, it takes off nicely with the long takeoff runs I enjoy, and lands smoooothly, though a little fast. At first I had to bend the soft landing gear wire (Jim Dines mentioned that) every flight or two, but now that I grease the landings in all the time (shaddap, you in the back, there) I only have to bend them back ever 8 or 10 flights.
Mine's run on a Magnum .52 fourstroke since day one, 12 X 6 prop, and it just keeps getting better & better. I don't 3D, but I'll bet there are people who could hover my WM 30 Ultimate.
One thing I require, and this may be just personal preference, but I have LOTS of rudder throw... and a HT Prism with dual rate rudder. Usually I'm flying on low rate rudder, but on the ground I usually switch it to high. (A Prism has 3 rate switches, A/E/R.) It will snap like it's on double gimbals, with high rate everything. Nice four-point rolls with low rate rudder; good inverted flight, fairly stable little plane. If you can handle any plane that lands fast, you can learn to handle this one. Oh, and I wouldn't call it "Fast" in the air, but it's adequate for most any loop/roll/stall maneuver.
