For any of you who haven't heard about the Cap 580 It will be modeled after the full scale one flown by Matt Chapman. It uses a lycoming 580 engine, has a wingspan of 24 feet, weighs 1300 pounds, flies as fast as 240 MPH, and can roll 400 degrees per second. The paint scheme is yellow with various purple, red, orange, green, light blue, and dark blue "splats". According to Don anderson of Great Plane the first cap to be realesed will be a 55.5 inch wingspan model for a .46-.61 2 stroke or .52-.70 fourstroke. The Second will be a 1/3 scale version for 85 to 120cc gassers. There is also the possibility of a 50cc version and parkflyer version later on.
All info. is in the October '04 issue of fly R/c magazine If you want to chek it out. It also has a great article on the "joe Nall" fly in.

krayz - that link is for the 1/3 scale 50cc gasser. That .91 4-stroke would probably taxi that just fine at full throttle!
Now the 55" version, that should be VERY cool with the .91 4 banger.
I read about this plan last week in Fly RC. Made me want to dust my H9 Matt Chapman CAP off. I like the new color scheme.
