Good morning.
I bought an Ultra Stick 120 at a swap meet this spring. Came with four Hobbico servos two of which were stripped out. THought nothing of it at the time.
Flew it for the first time yesterday, on the second flight both aileron servos stripped. Got it back down safely though.
Question: Anyone else have problems with this? What causes it? Aileron flutter perhaps? I really wasn't doing any drastic flight manuvers. Brand new Hitec 425's, both stripped. What's the odds of this being a bad servo or a freak deal???
Thinking about the four servos that came with the plane, maybe this has happened before. I just thought they were junk servos the guy threw in the deal.
Any feedback or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Marlin

I think 425s may not be quite strong enough on the 120. I had one and used 605s, (now discontinued) without problems. My new 120 lite has 4/475s on the wing and 645mg for ele, and 605 on rudder. Check your throws too, they may be too much.

If you were getting flutter, you'd hear it. You need servos with more "oomph". On all my planes of this size or larger, I use Hitec digital servos with metal or Karbonite gears.
