Default Another H9 Edge Wing Question

Hi All,
I just purchased an H9 Edge 540 at a local hobby shop. I am trying to find out if I have the new wing or not (no telling how long it sat on the shelf). I found in a thread here that there is a blue dot or mark in the servo hole in the wing. Mine appears to have a redish QC stamp there. Also, there is a serial number on the flat where the wings butt together, it is 0230114283.

Does anyone know if I have the good or the bad?

Many thanks,
Jeff

Default Another H9 Edge Wing Question

Hi Shortman,
I'm going with the Saito 180. I will probably start with the 18x6w APC propeller.

Thanks,
Jeff

PS - I'll start gluing now that I know it's a good wing! Thanks!

Default Good Wing Bad Wing?

Shortman,
You're sure this is a good wing - right? I have epoxy in hand... How are the bad wings marked? What is it with the blue markings? Anyone else chime in here?

Thanks again,
Jeff

I'm positive, I called horizon and they said the red stamp in the servo tray is the new wing. Go ahead what are you waiting for!

Default Another H9 Edge Wing Question

If you do want to make doubley sure, also if you have any really tough questions on this plane, here's the Horizon site. http://www.horizonhobby.com/
There is a tech support area there, and contact info whereby you can e-mail them direct. I emailed them the same question a few months back. I thought I kept the reply, it's gone though. The site has been a world of info for the H9 products I own(which there really isn't to many for some reason).
Shortman is right on the money here though. There is what they call a QC(QualityControl) sticker located in the bays of the wing.
I'm going with Moki 1.80 in my H9 Edge. Also moving the elevator servos to the rear to compensate for the weight of the engine. And of course a few more trick items to make it nice. It's now probably going to be my winter project though. I've gathered all the stuff already though(half the battle), and need a workbench. I'm still working on last winter's project, so my bench(s) are totally full. I ended up taking that one to the extreme though. Almost done though thank goodness.
