Does anyone have a tip on bracing up soft aluminum landing gear. I was going to put cross braces on and maybe add a stiff spring.

B&B Specialties makes a mounting system to strengthen with music wire.
It's on the web site at: www.bennettbuilt.com/page1.htm

The best bet would be to purchase some T6 Aluminum gear to fit your plane from TNT landing gear at: www.tntlandinggear.com/

The TNT gear has solved the problem for me on two models so far and the new ones have performed very well.

I have an email to TNT to find out how sturdy their aluminum gear is and compare that to the composite gear. Waiting to hear back.

Jim,
Where can I pick up 3 sets of shock absorbers?.
I guess I can use shocks from the bigger RC cars?

The shock absorbers in the photo are the smallest I could find at the hobby shop in the R/C car department. I have used these on 6 to 91/2 pound aircraft.
In the May issue of Model Airplane News in the "Tips and Tricks" section is a good view of my shock absorbing system.

Hi Jim,
I figured that was what you used.
I seen them on RC cars but questioned how hard of a landing they could take and not damage the plane.
Thanks for the info
