Default Gp Extra 300s Arf Control Throws?

WAS WONDERING IF 5/16 AND 3/8 WAS ENOUGH CONTROL THROW ON THE ELEVATOR.. THATS WHAT THE MANUAL SUGGESTS BUT JUST DOESNT SEEM LIKE ALOT OF MOVEMENT TO ME.. WILL THIS WORK WELL? I HAD MY THROWS SET MORE THAN THAT ON THE ELEVATOR BUT WAS GETTING A SNAP OUT ON THE TOP OF LOOPS.. IM THINKING ITS BECAUSE OF TOO MUCH THROW. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE ONE WITH THE RECOMMENDED THROWS? IS IT SUFFICIENT.. I HAVE A MAGNUM 91 FOUR STROKE ON MINE.. WILL KNIFE EDGE AS FAR AS I CAN SEE AND THOUGH IT DOESNT HAVE UNLIMITED VERTICAL IT SHOOTS STRAIGHT UP AT TAKEOFF AND GOES FOR QUITE AWAYS BEFORE SLOWING TO A HOVER.. ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED ON SETUPS.. THANKS

It all depends on where your CG is and how you like to fly.

Initially the recommended throws were too little for me, but after moving the CG from 4" to 4 1/4" they were pretty close.

But like I said, it also depends on what type of flying you wish to do. Currently I'm working on flying smooth patterns and not doing blenders and hovering (though it will do quick snaps and flat spins with my settings).

It's hard to believe that tiny bit of elevator movement will do the trick isn't it

Good luck,
Keith

Default elevator throw

The method i use for elevator throw:
set the throw to maximum, fly the plane to see if it snaps out at top of loop, if it does reduce the controll throw till it flys the loop smoothly. use that setting for your high rate.

you can use this method to set the evelator throw on any aircraft you fly. (except war birds), It works for me.------hope this helps.

Frank.
