New Miss America P-51... I saw one today
Saw the new Hangar 9 Miss America today at the LHS. He just got it in this morning, so we opened the box to take a look. We didn't take everything out, but from what I saw, it was very high quality. Now I have to re-think about getting one of these.
I only wish they would knock the price down a little.

I never owned a war bird but I diffently got my eye on the Miss America. Let me know what engine were looking at for the bird. Am just waiting for my lhs to get one in.

I saw one in the box at the LHS recently. My life is so sad. It felt like way back in high shool - seeing the new pretty girl in the hall.[&:]

Don't be intimidated by retracts as I first was. They do take a bit of adjustments here and there, but once you have them the way you want them, they're zero trouble. It looks ever so cool when you tuck them up under the wing after take off. I now have two planes with retracts and probably getting a third soon. Shhhhh, but don't tell the wife.

I want one but I'm kind of inexperienced with that type and style of plane. How do they fly? Are they what's considered a pattern plane? Will they do acrobatic flying?

Guys, This one wont have problems. I had the previous H-9 Mustang but for some reason I became bored with it after a few flights and sold it the minute I walked through the the LHS. Now with the Miss America scheme, it appears interesting. The plane is very stable and a smooth flyer. Does not tip-stall easy and rather floats to a touch down. The previous had very bad wobble in the landing gear. This new release is a lot more stiffer and will work great. You dont need flaps with this one, it slows down enough but remember to keep a little up elevator after its on the ground. Also, remember to really re-inforce the firewall [VERY IMPORTANT !] You'll find out why if you dont. Saito .100 does the powerplant job great but since this is a racer, ST 2300 will do even better [ of course, its rival will be the TT Rare Bear] Take my word on this one, you'll like it. MM PS, no 3-D non-sense with this one, This one is for racing.

There is one at my LHS with my name all over it! I have two engines I am considering, because I have each on hand. Saito 100 or Super Tigre G90. Any opinions on which would give most speed?

Didn't that ruin the pretty red, white, and blue colour scheme?

It will probably come with a plastic spinner. Buy a Tru-Turn and double check the balance on it. No pilot figure either. So what, Paint the inside of the cowl black for a mistic look. MM
