Send us the pics of the Motor in your TWIST
Big or small post them all!!!
Some say it is not necessary to put a motor larger then a 46fx in the twist to achieve awesome results...I run a YS63S with a APC 14x4w and at times a APC 13x4w...Pic#3...is a 12x4 used for breakin....JW

my twist had a magnum .46 with a apc 12.25x3.75 prop, it's not the most powerful to put on a twist, but it work for me ,until she died(the twist) the motor was fine and was the eletronics. new twist on the way.

Twist builds tail heavy. Mount your engine as far forward as you can on the mount. My Twist has an Evo .46 on it and is mounted all the way up front. I still have 4 ounces underneath the fuel tank to balance.

SwampFlier,
Remember, this is your son's plane (Christmas Present) I don't want to hear any rumors about Dad flying this beast.

Here's my setup:
Magnum .91 RFS, currently using a Zinger 14x4 wood prop
(I like APC better; the LHS only had the 14" Zingers left and I was on my way to the field...)
It was a tight fit. I had to trim a few millimeters off the inside of each motor mount using a Dremmel to fit the crankcase. Then, I had to notch the cheeck for the throttle arm and to give the throttle barrel room to rotate outwards and cut a notch for the HS needle.
Balanced towards the nose-heavy side of the manual's CG recommendation (a little more than 4" from LE). I'll probably move the CG back a bit now that I'm used to the plane.
I absolutely love it. The Magnum FS motors are a great value.

autoguns.. Nice twist:-)... Did you use the supplied hardware/mount
that comes with the twist??? I want a twist, But not sure what to
power it with.. Was thinking Saito 82a.. But was wondering what
else I would need to make it all work..

Raideron,
The Saito 82 would be a good combo.... I used 4-40 rods on all controls with Du-bro horns. I also used a cable on the throttle. As far as the rest of the plane I did beef up the stress areas before I recovered it. here is a list of the parts I used ....
GP pinned hinges
GP 4-40 rods/with threaded and soldered clevis's
Dave Brown 3 1/2" Wheels #WR35-5735
GP Axles 1 1/4 x5/32 #GPMQ4276
Du-Bro Control horns #867
Sullivan tail wheel bracket #s860
TruTurn Spinner #TT-2282-B-W
Heavy Duty servo arms
Crap Trap Fuel filters
Du-Bro Bubble free clunk
Sullivan Cable (for the throttle)
APC 14x4 standard chord prop (may change to APC 13x4W)
I also have another Twist with a YS63S with a APC 13x4W. and same parts list . This is another great combo to consider . I have several hundred flights on this plane with no problems other then rudder CA hinges failed....I landed no problem and replaced with pivot point hinges...
I think for the price of this plane its hard to beat...JW
