Have been flying since May; first plane was a Trainer 40, 2nd was a Black Horse Tornado; both piled due to pilot error
Now I have to decide what my 3rd plane will be; please feel free to suggest!
I have an OS 91SII 4 stroke and need a plane to fit it. I really like the idea of a scale or scale-like plane and I like low-and -slow flying but also like to go fast and aerobatic when the mood suits!
I'm thinking about the Great Planes Spaccewalker (although the wing is huge!) or the Black Horse Matrix .60 (about which I can find little info, but have seen one in a shop) which has a breakable wing.
Look forward to your views!
Thanks
Gerard

The spacewalker is a gem of a plane and really shines with that engine. Do a search here and you will find other threads singing its praises. Don't know anything about your other option.

Coul ... forget the BH Matrix ... its not as nice as the BH Extra 300 (60), te GP Space Walker can only do so much and the BH Extra is more acrobatic and a lot cheaper I'm sure. Here in Malaysia I can buy it for like 80 quid!!! The BH Extra with a 90 sized 4C is a brilliant combination. I had 3 BH Extra (1 crashed due to my fault and 2 due to glitches, bad receiver!), a friend of mine has the Matrix.

Coulsong , you first have to decide what kind of flyer you want. The GP SWalker and the Matrix have completely different flying characteristics. You should be the best judge of your own flying skills and choose a plane that suits your capabilities and improves them. The Space Walker makes an excellent third plane provided you already graduated successfully from your first two. It makes an excellent combination with your .91 but you crash this one and you'll never forgive yourself. My advice is to gain more flying experience with a 40 size such as the WM T-34 or Rambler.
Good luck

I agree with waagbuck, the Spacewalker is a nice flying airplane. I have that same plane with an O.S. 91 Surpass in it. Flies low and slow, but yet does most aerobatic manuvers. I think it would be a good 3rd plane.

A funtana 40 or 90 on low rates would be a good third plane. I have the Spacewalker and it is relaxing to fly and can teach you power management.

A little bit of talk (and pics) of the BH Matrix (and BH Extra) at this thread:

IF YOU WANT A NICE SLOW FLYER WITH LIMITED AEROBATICS, GIT A SPACEWALKER. IF YOU WANT SOME ADVENTURE AND A FASTER MORE RESPONSIVE PLANE, THEN GO FOR THE BH MATRIX.
IF ASSEMBLED PROPERLY BOTH WILL FLY GOOD.

i think that as you piled in both your planes which you stated was your own fault then a trip back to a trainer probably isn't a bad thing,if you are having problems with a trainer then neither a spacewalker or a matrix will last very long, this isn't an easy hobby and i think more time on a trainer will serve you well.
