Default Plane Recommendation for a G45

I banged up my GP Christen Eagle landing today, ripping out the landing gear. I'm considering throwing in the towel on fixing it. It is just too difficult to land for my abilities and our field. I'm looking for a plane that would be a good match for the G45 and would be fun to fly similar to an Ultra Stick Lite. It doesn't have to be 3D capable, but would like to be on the high end of the power recommendation with the G45. A war bird is out since I just started putting the Top Flite P51 ARF together.

I had a G-45 in a Sig Sukhoi. I sold it after 3 years, but it flew great.........

Try the Midwest Extra300.

My extra flies great.

A friend of mine flies a Midwest CAP with a G45. His is overweight at 18-lbs but it flies quite well.

I second the Sig Suk. I've got one now with a G45 and it flies great. Very easy to land. In fact, there is a strip we fly off of around here that's just a bit of mowed field in front of a farmer's house. I've flown the Suk their lots, and never had a problem. It has plenty of power, too, but forget 3D. Too high of a wing loading.
