Default Graupner Extra 300S

II have recently become the owner of a Graupner Extra 300S. It is NIB. As it should happen, this is one of the original versions shipped. The new ones ship with an added control rod for a second elevator controller. I had read about issues involving flutter in the elevator. It seems that they shipped without any tail struts in the original configuration. Also it seems that there may be lightening holes near the connection point of the horizontal stab and fuse. All easy to fix, as I have the after thought struts for the the stab and I figure I will peel the covering off the stab and add a couple of strips of carbon fiber ribbon to it. As for the control rod for the elevator...this version has only one servo control rod attached by a wire to the second side (in the new version they are separate allowing for 2 servos). I think I will be okay with a single digital servo on the elevator?? Anyone have any experience with the first generation Graupner Extra 300S? I would be grateful for any information.

Cheers,
Joe
