Just got the Stearman and i have to say this is the worst covering Monocote i have ever dealt with. I have put together 30 arfs and i have spent 3 hours trying to tighten covering on the fuse alone. I used a iron and gun. As soon as i get one area tight more wrinkles shoe up, debating on taking this back for a refund. I really wish it had Ultracote. Once it tight it stays tight . Nice plane other than covering. I noticed Dick Pettit said the same thing on the covering , he said little wrinkles pop up everywhere. Any way just my two cents worth. Not trying to bad mouth GP

I spent one entire day tightening the covering on my GP Stearman. It looks good now and was worth the effort. I agree the kit should not be sold that way, but otherwise I have not found any thing wrong with it although I am just getting a good start. I have the Patty Wagstaff Extra and their Ryan STA, if this one is as good as those it should be no problem to complete.

Yes i agree everything else on the GP arfs are great , just wanted to vent about this covering. After you use Ultracoat once you dont want anything else. Thanks by the way i am putting a OS 160 twin on mine.
