Default ARF for 2004 is.....

So what plane was introduced in 2004 that you thought was the BEST ARF offered? My vote is for the Funtana 90 by H9. And yours is.....????

ExtremeFlight R/C Yak-54.

Jerry, you need to see this thing to fully appreciate just how well done it is.

Hangar 9 ARFs are very nice, especially the Funtana 90, but they simply are not in the same league as this one, in terms of structural quality and workmanship.

I'll have to say WM Velox 60 size ARF. It does anything you can do.....Walls into hover into knife edge, snap roll turn around and harrier over the field, back into a hover.....vertical climb out. Nice big loops inside and out, cuban 8's, rev cuban 8's, flat spins etc.....oh, and blenders.
That's about all I can do....trying to do rolling circles.
Here's a pic..

I will have to say its the EF Yak 54 ... the H9 F90 is lovely but like they say ... there are structural issues. Mine had a few places with lousy fitting (the F40 has better wood and construction quality) and my pal's had broken ribs!

Velox is a nice plane that flies well, I just do not like the construction. I called the manufacturer for EF and they say NO MORE 68" Yaks available! They can send me the 87" though ... now this is most tempting!!!

Not EF but the manufacturer in HK, they are going to ship more to EF. I did not ask exactly when. I was hoping to get some from HK direct, no chance, seems that the demand is that good!

I'm for the Extreme Flight 68" yak. In 2005 it will be the 87" yak. Hands down, these are the best quality ARFs on the market. From what's I've seen the funtana is a fine airplane, but it flys like a fun fly - you cannot IMAC 'well' with it. The 68" yak will 3D great and IMAC very well too.

It's kind of tough for me. I am chomping at the bit to get the new Carl Goldberg Monster Pitts. Although it is introduced in 2004, I don't think they are out yet. So I guess, without flying it, and making the assumption that the plane will be of good quality, it's the Monster Pitts for me.
