I have a SIG SE and am looking for a roll of Oracover #54 Violet covering that matches. I believe its the same stuff as Ultracote but I cannot find the same color.

Thanks for your help!

If I'm not mistaken, it's the same covering that's used on the Sig Extra 300XS ARF, and that is the Ultracote Smoke Purple.

Default SE UltraCote (smoked purple)

Hey Jaco,

How did the maiden flight go? How much purple do you need, I have a little extra if you are talking about a hatch cover for moving the battery back in the tail section.

Ultracoat is the same thing as Oracover, Horizon Hobby has it. Just give them the #.

Hi Jim,

The maiden flight went great. Sunday was a perfect day with no wind. I couldn't find a 13X6 prop locally so I went with a 14X5 on the Saito .72. Seemed to have tons of thrust. I could take off in about 15 feet and point it straight up. Did some hovering, loops and rolls on low rates. This weekend I hope to move the CG back some and try it on high rates w/mixing.

I might take you up on the covering if the smoke purple doesn't match. I want to move the RX pack back to the tail like yours. Maybe I'll see ya at the field on Saturday. Thanks for your help!

Hey Mike,

I plan on flying Saturday morning (if it isn't raining) and I'll bring some "smoke purple" Ultracote with me. Also, I had to replace my rx pack so I am leaving the covering off the battery access so I can add a little weight in the tail so I can do the inverted flat spin thing again.

Jim
