I would like to hear some opinions about what people feel the best composite planes are and why. I am considering airwild or composite-arf. ( only because that's all I have found at reasonable pricing) Does anyone have any opinion which is better quality? Edge, Extra, or giles doesn't really matter to me, but I would like to move up from the 25% planes. Can anyone suggest any other manufacturers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well MMP... There are a several composites out there.. I just know the Composite-Arf is a proven company with proven products. Many of the other composite companies are basically beginning the production/distribution of composite airplanes. Give them a little time and then we'd be able to make a reasonable assessment of them.
As far as the Edge, Extra etc., it depends on what you're looking for the airplane to do. Sequence work, 3D and/or a little bit of both? Do a search on composite aircraft and I'm sure you'll come up with the information you need that answers all your questions.

Don't know much about Airwild, but I can say my Composite-Arf Extra is a machine. I don't have one bad thing to say about it. I have the 2.3 but looking to get the 3.1 Super Extra soon. John

I own and fly the comp-arf 2.3 extra with DA50/pipe and love it. It is getting a lot of airtime on it and feels much bigger than it is. I'd love a 2.6 or 3.0 extra or yak. We are getting quite a collection at our field of these composites. I looked at the airwild edge but can not get any positive feedback about it. Composite arf is expensive but flys and looks very very nice. Spoil yourself!

Thanks guys for the feedback. Has anyone heard of or flown a D&R Hobbies composite? After much research it seems like Comp-ARF will be getting the call. I think the 2.6m. How long does it take to set up a 2.6m do you think?
