I just purchased this plane and was wondering if all the problems with the wings and tail feathers failing have faded away or are there still problems with this? I haven't seen any recent post with these problems. All the threads I found with the search function talking about these problems were about a year old. I plan on upgraded the push rods and adding tail braces to help with this. Also, is there a problem with the fuel tank location? Do I need to adjust it for better alignment with the carb on my Saito?
Thanks
Jeff

i don't think there really ever was a true wing problem, most of what happened usually sounded like it was high speed flutter, whether or not it was ever directly stated. I DID loose my first .46 due to a sort of wing failure, the hold down block for the wing came unglued, inflight...
as far as the tail, it is a weak design near the fuselage. not something that will affect flight when it fails but still annoying. (I've flown my .46 with the horizontal stab basically free floating!!)

You don't need to relocate the fuel tank. Stock position is fine. I run a Saito 82 in mine without any problems. The fuel tank position was a problem on the 60 size not the 46.Thanks,
Barry
