Due to a recent unfortunate event, my GP extra 300S is dead. However the organs are going to be donated. Problem is I have no idea what plane to get. I have an OS .70 surpass II for an engine. I am looking for an edge-cap-extra style of plane. 3D capabiltiy with the engine I have is a must also. thanks to all of those who offer a suggestion.

Check out the Hangar 9 Funtana 40. Just got one of these and I love it. Cant do squat with it yet but I love it!! Mine has an OS .70 Surpass II in it. I put a large 1400mAh 4.8v battery pack right up against the front former of the radio/servo compartment and only had to add 1/4 oz midway between the trailing edge and the tail to balance.
Did I mention that I love this plane?

I am eyeing the Matt Chapman CAP 580 arf right now. Very purdy airplane. I think I will do a search for posts on this plane.

One I'm kinda eyeballing is the Sig Mayhem 46. It will be available in February. I think it would fly nice with the OS 70. I have the larger version and like it. Don't know how long you're willing to wait. Good Luck.
Thanks,
Barry

Sean - the F40 flies like an IMAC plane ... funny but it does, its can do great 3D from what I have seen but when I had mine it flew very precisely. If you are an aerobatic nut who wants a plane that can 3D then this might be your best choice. A lot of other 3D planes do not feel like a pattern plane. Heck, I even flew mine with a mere SC46 (experimenting) and it was nice for sports flying, enough speed and torque.

No, dont get me wrong. I love pattern type planes. My extra was a pattern plane. I absolutely loved it. I am kind of glad it went in. I reached the end of the capabilities of it. I did some insane tumbles and knife edge rotating dives with it. I got it off ebay for cheap and it lasted me the whole summer as my sole plane, I got pretty good with it. I have my mind set on the Matt Chapman cap 580 .40 plane. Its 3d capable and my .70 is the max recomended engine size for it. Plus its a very sharp looking plane. Anyone have any stick time with the plane?

Sean
