Gday all,
I have just bought a 1/3 gp christen eagle and plan to use the zdz40 engine. I was hopeing that the engine would fit compleatly inside the cowl but looking at it now the plug/lead will protrude outside the bottom of the cowl. I was considering extending the prop shaft so the engine would sit further toward the firewall and thus reduce the plug sticking out the bottom. Has anyone got and comments/ suggestions about this?? also has anyone had any problems with cutting into the firewall for the carby??
thanks

My Feedback: (62)
I just bought one also and from what I have seen, most are putting 45cc or higher in this plane. I have a ZDZ 40 on a smaller plane and I don't think it has the power you will want for the GP Pitts. Just my opinion
I plan to use a Fuji 50 or Zenoah G45.
