Default H9 Aresti Questions

I am almost finished with my Aresti and am ready to mount the engine. I noticed that the firewall is built with a little right thrust and I was wondering if it is supposed to have that or if I need to correct it. I was also wondering what servos I should use for it or if 43oz./in. of torque in each servo will work.

Thanks,
Kyle

Kyle...the built in right thrust on the firewall is intended to be there. You don't want to remove it. Also I'm using standard servos in mine (JR 517's) all around. The Aresti is a fine flying airplane. I think you like it.

Thanks a lot for the help John. That is the exact information I needed. I'm going to use 537's for it and mount the engine now.

Kyle, There are lots of threads on the Aresti in this forum, search here and read about this bird. A few modifications and tips are found in these threads that will make your plane more enjoyable. It is a great flyer and is very stable. You will love it I do. Cuda

You may need to put the battery way back in the turtledeck to balance a heavy engine (OS .46 FX for example). It's a sweet flying plane. The factory pushrods work OK, but I'm switching to pull-pull rudder to help with the knife-edge.

the bird I put together I had to put 3/4 oz weight in the tail to make it swing on the CG point. We put a OS 72 in it and with that size motor it was nose heavy. Dont forget to epoxy the firewall in and we use fiberglass push rods instead of what came in the kit
