Default Lanier 120 Edge 540T Engine Offset

In preparing my Lanier Edge for a YS140L I have removed the firewall to be replaced with a beefier birch ply unit and want to reinstall it at the correct thrust angle. (no washers behind the mount) Lanier R/C recommends 2% of right thrust. Can any of you Lanier Edge owners comment on your experience with thrust angles?

Joe: I just completed my Edge, and flew it for the first time Mon. I followed the instructions as to the offset, and the plane flew great I don't know what engine you are using, but I am using a ST 3250, and I think the 1/4" ply firewall, after reinforcing, is adequate.

Why not just use a 2deg wedge? I think Goldberg makes them. That's what I plan on doing.
