I used an OS 91 Surpass in mine. Lay the engine on it's side. I had no problem with the throttle hookup the best I can remember.
I would think a Saito 150 would be way too much for this plane. It's not an aerobat or 3D'er. I'm not sure you would even have ground clearance for the prop with a 150. IMHO a 120 is pushin the envelope a bit with this model.
With the 91 it will fly great. I flew mine so much I got tired of it and sold it to make some room for something else. I kinda wish I had it back.

I have a Magnum 1.20 4 stroke in mine and love it! I installed the engine on its side and used a flexible cable from servo to engine with no problem.

Mine flies wonderful with a YS91FZ on it, I fact it may just be a little too much engine.
I inverted the YS and the throttle lines up just fine and no cowel cutting to boot!

I bought one of these after my wife gave me a Saito 100 for Xmas. The Saito works very good but the plane is very underpowered with this engine I would go with at least a 120 or 150 if I had the choice. I know it is a scale type plane but it should have at least a "little" vertical and it doesn't with the 100. The plane is also one of the worst flyers I have had in 20 years. I know not many would agree with me - maybe it's just not my cup of tea - but flying it is about as exciting as "watching paint dry".

I had a Saito 90 twin in mine which flew it very scale. Had to use energy management to fly aerobatics and was fun.
Put a OS 160 twin in it and WOW! It flies great.
Lots of power, vertical, and it is a perfect home for the engine.
Best prop for it is a 17X6 APC but will pull out of hover with a 18X6 as well.
I have a friend that has a YS 120 in his. He is very happy with that combination.
You can always throttle back and use a low pitch prop for more thrust.

Did you have to split the cowl in order to put the twin in.
Has anyone taken the positive incidence out of the wing. I think part of my dislike for this plane is due in no small part to the 3 + degrees of wing incidence.

I did split the cowl and used lite plywood to back up the joint.
I have also thought about removing some of the 3 degrees myself.
It should fly inverted a little better at 1 1/2.

I had one of these planes - what a great flying plane.
I ran a YS91 on it's side. PLENTY of power for this airplane - spent most of the time at 1/2 throttle making nice scale turns with coordinated rudder/aileron.
I don't think this plane needs a 120 to fly well.
Just my .02.

From: d, AL,
I'm going to have to concur with Skypilot_one and Paradiddle...A YS91 is equivalent to anyone else's 120 and is plenty of power for this plane.
With a 15-8 prop on it, don't have a stiff neck when you take off as you won't be able to move your head enough to track it. Eight pounds of balsa and plastic become a rocket.
This is a plane to just relax with, practice your turns and loops, takeoffs and landings. It isn't a CAP and wasn't designed to be.
It is a plane that offers beauty and grace to the pilot and the spectators.
I haven't put the incidence meter on it yet, but one to one-and-a-half degrees wing incidence would be better than the three degrees presented.
But at 1/2 throttle you won't notice the difference.
I'd rate the Spacewalker a seven (7) on a scale of ten (10) for pure relaxation and enjoyment.

I flew a friends the other day with an old OS 90FS and the thing that amazed me most about it was how slow it approched and what control I had on the elevator even when it really got slow...you could barely tell it was on the ground. Do they all land like that?

I have YS91FZ on my spacewalker with pitts style muffler. When I do a slow pass on the runway, man, the sound of the engine kills me. I love it.
I agree YS91FZ is a lot of power for this plane. Try a take off with full power and you will see it. The moment the throttle stick hits the top, the plane is off the ground.

I have mine in the air with a Magnum 1.20 4 stroke and love it! Great power for tall stall turns, cruises at 1/3 throttle. This plane is great except for the wing mounting area. Now that the snow is starting to fall I will be putting a plywood double on the fuse outside where the screws go through. Only weak part of the kit I have seen.

I love this plane too. I had a Saito 100 on it but the bearings went bad after only 70 flights. I sent the engine into horizon and they said they fixed it and sent it but everytime I call them they say, oh it will go out today. Weird, they are holding my engine hostage. I like the YS 91 idea more everyday. How is the power with the G23? Is it enough? It must ballance well. Pretty plane,.
