Default ultra stick 40

Need some info on a new engine mount for my Hanger 9 ultra stick 40. The one that came with the arf is pretty heavy. What nylon or lighter engine mount will fit the bold pattern on the fuse. Thanks

I have one of these Sticks and I am using the stock mount. The engine is a Thunder Tiger Pro .46. Yes, the mount is heavy, but I could not find a glass-filled mount which matched the holes in the firewall. It is really not a problem to relocate the blind nuts, but I could not be bothered. I built it using the flaps and ailerons with 4 servos in the wing. I ended up adding weight to the tail to get the CG where I like it. It flies very well with the plane at a slightly tail heavy configuration. With maximum throws it flies like a fun-flyer.

The wheels that came with mine are OK, but the tailwheel is a POS. I replaced it with a 3/4" Dubro wheel.

Safe flying!

I plugged the existing holes, epoxy'd the firewall and put a Great Planes plastic mount on mine. I have a Saito 56 on it. There's a Dubro tank in it. It balanced perfect with the receiver and battery in the normal place. I've flown it for almost a year now.

Enjoy,

Jim

I read all the posts here on the US 40 coming out nose heavy. I used a Webra 50, Hays mount and a CBA tailwheel. Came out a bit tail heavy for my efforts.
