Default Pilatus Porter engine?

I've been considering the 95 inch Jamara Pilatus Porter for a long time. Looking for info on a gas engine that would give good vertical and not too much weight because of the long nose on this baby. Anybody flying this plane with gas? I saw some posts on possibly using the g38 but never saw any follow up reports on performance. I'm thinking about gas engines that might be lighter than the Zenoahs but have no experience. Would like a report from some-one with hands on experience. Anybody used any of the ZDZs?
